When will the trend move towards robots?
Robots generally prevail when the layout and required dynamics can be realised from the modular system of the usual robot manufacturers. The high degree of freedom provided by the number and arrangement of axes offers many possibilities when tilting or tilting around interfering edges is required - typically when inserting transformed components into lattice boxes or similar. In addition, the price is often attractive if the requirement can be met with standard robots of small or medium sizes.
Which robot manufacturer does SANDER use?
As a rule, the robot manufacturer is specified by the end customer. If this is not the case, our first points of contact are FANUC and KUKA.
What experience does SANDER already have with robotics?
As a 100% subsidiary of ERDRICH Umformtechnik, we have already been involved in many projects and have been working in robotics for several years. Numerous projects, test runs and test setups as well as our co-operation with Offenburg University of Applied Sciences have resulted in a wealth of valuable experience. How flexible are robots?
The robot as such is of course extremely flexible in its movement. A sensible mix can be achieved by moving the robot on a 7th axis (upright or suspended), for example, in order to increase the working area immensely.
